Track 01 · Philosophical Critique

Polemos

Philosophical critique of the categories through which conflict is analyzed. Each issue reframes a premise (an inherited binary, a vocabulary, a periodization) that the operational analysis must otherwise treat as given. The work is regional and global in scope, written from Beirut and from the post-Ottoman space, engaging the intellectual traditions that produced our categories rather than borrowing their vocabulary.

Track 02 · Policy Instrument

Statecraft

Policy work grounded in the firm's operational analytical practice. Essays on the statebuilding project of Lebanon, and on the making and unmaking of states in comparable conditions, written from within the constraints, not above them. Each issue does the political-economy work seriously: who benefits from current arrangements, who would lose under proposed reforms, what oversight makes the proposals defensible.
